Curved Guides
Curved Guides are curved cross-roller guides designed to provide smooth and precise curved motion using low-friction, non-recirculating precision rollers.
They are used in applications where it is necessary to change the gradient or achieve a precise gradient angle without changing the centre of rotation, particularly in high-precision optical and measurement equipment.
STRUCTURE AND ADVANTAGES
The RVF type consists of curved rails with V-grooves and flat mounting surfaces, together with curved roller cages. The RV type consists of curved rails with V-grooves and curved roller cages. Precision rollers are used as the rolling elements.
As the rolling elements do not recirculate, frictional resistance does not vary significantly. This makes it possible to achieve curved motion with extremely low frictional resistance.
Low Frictional Resistance and Small Movements
Precision grinding and the curved roller cage provide extremely low frictional resistance. The negligible difference between static and dynamic friction allows the guide to accurately follow small movements, providing high-precision curved motion.
Low Noise
The non-recirculating design eliminates noise generated in the circulation area. In addition, the curved roller cage enables quiet operation, with minimal contact noise between the rolling elements.
High Rigidity and High Load Capacity
Rollers provide a larger contact area and less elastic deformation compared with ball-based rolling elements. Furthermore, as the rollers do not recirculate, the effective number of rolling elements is greater, resulting in high rigidity and high load capacity.
Flat Mounting Surface
The flat mounting surfaces of the RVF type eliminate the need for complex machining of tables and bases during installation. As a result, machining costs can be significantly reduced.
Same Centre of Rotation
The precisely machined curved V-grooves provide an accurate centre of rotation. In addition, the products are designed to provide identical centres of rotation when products of the same size are installed on two axes.
