Non-recirculating Linear Roller Guides
Non-Recirculating Roller Linear Guides
Non-Recirculating Roller Linear Guide is a linear motion guide featuring a precision R-type roller cage with a non-recirculating design. It is mainly used in optical and measuring equipment where high-precision movement is required.
The NV type consists of precision-ground rails, precision R-type roller cages with built-in STUDROLLERs, and precision rollers. The rails are optimally designed to ensure smooth movement of the STUDROLLERs. The STUDROLLERs and precision rollers incorporated into the R-type cages enable slip-free operation between the raceway surfaces and rollers, resulting in minimal frictional resistance.
SV and SVW types consist of precision rails and precision roller cages. As the rollers and cages do not recirculate, fluctuations in frictional resistance are minimized. In addition, there is only a minimal difference between static and dynamic frictional resistance.
Anti-Slip
The STUDROLLER system is based on an innovative concept designed to prevent roller cage slippage during operation. This system allows the guides to be used in any orientation or mounting position.
Guides
NV consists of a set of four rails, two R-type roller cages, and eight end pieces. This configuration provides a flexible table design that can be adapted to suit the specific requirements of each application. The NVS type is available with stainless steel rails and resin roller cages, making it suitable for applications where corrosion resistance is required.
The SV consists of a set of four rails, two R-type roller cages featuring precision rollers arranged in a crossed configuration, and eight end pieces. The all-stainless-steel version is suitable for use in corrosive environments.
SVW consists of two SV-type rails, one W-type rail, two R-type roller cages, and eight end pieces. The W-type rail enables a more compact design. The SVWS type is also available with all components manufactured from stainless steel.
Suitable for Precise Motion
With extremely low frictional resistance and only a small difference between static and dynamic frictional resistance, the NB slide is highly suitable for fine, precise movements, providing high-precision linear motion.
Stable Motion at Low Speed
Since fluctuations in frictional resistance are minimal, stable motion is achieved across a wide speed range, from low to high speeds, even under low-load conditions.
High Rigidity and High Load Capacity
Compared with ball elements, rollers provide a larger contact area and undergo less elastic deformation. As a result, the NB slide offers high rigidity and high load capacity.
With the new NV rail design, the roller contact area is increased by 30 to 58% (Figure G-2). The number of effective rollers is also increased by reducing the roller pitch. As a result, the NV type has a load rating 1.3 to 2.5 times higher than the SV type.
Low Noise
The slide generates neither recirculation noise nor roller contact noise, as it uses roller cages instead of recirculating elements. This results in quiet and smooth linear motion.
